Yeah. This guy is one of the biggest fans of the Myst universe ever, so it's probably more fitting for him to have done it, and gone way way overboard.

Back in the day, I was planning to just use a digital picture frame that was video-capable, just because wasting that much computational power on an ornamental Myst book that just played linking videos seemed insane.

Hey, that's my Myst book! Glad you liked it :D  If it makes you feel any better, most of that 6 years was just finding a good-condition copy of the original book. Only in the last year did the miniaturisation of x86-based computers reach the point where I could squeeze everything in.
