This is actually a really good outcome to the previous mess whereby someone had helpfully "liberated" by posting the Samsung's exFAT driver sources (you can't just claim any code is GPL unless you have the right to do so). While still heavily patent encumbered, this cleans up the whole copyright mess for the code base.

(Also, who designs a file-system designed for transferring data between computers, but deliberately tries to limit who can use it...)
